painting holiday courses in Kas are designed to combine the experience of working with the exciting features of a foreign and very ancient landscape rich in archaeological treasures with a marvellous holiday in the sun
This painting course is based in Kas town where fantastic sea and island views will tempt you to get your pencils and watercolours out immediately. We will sketch and paint ancient Lykien sarcophaguses and picturesque street scenes in the Old Town. Traditional working boats in the harbour, a traditional Turkish market, the Amphitheatre, and trees and flowers in the tea garden. For the beginners in the group I will give introductions into
sketching and
drawing, and
watercolour techniques will be demonstrated throughout the week.
This painting course can be booked as a 5-day course or as a second week to course 1. See course 3 for details. We will
draw and
paint in Kas town on your first day and on market day. We will cross the bay to the Greek island of Meis with its fantastic Venetian architecture and beautiful harbour. We will go to the ancient towns of Xanthos and Patara and to Saklikent Gorge. We will spend a whole day on a boat to see the Sunken City of Kekova.For the beginners in the group I will give introductions into
sketching,
drawing and
watercolour painting and
watercolour techniques will be demonstrated throughout the week.
This is a 2 week painting course, combining course 1 and 2 and including 9 painting days: 5 days in Kas, a day on Limagnazi Beach, a day on the Greek island of Meis, a day in the Saklikent Gorge and the ancient town of Xanthos, and a day on a boat to the Sunken City of Kekova.
Our painting holidays may also be booked by the day, with a minimum of 2 days. This presents the opportunity to only book 2 to 4 days during a week’s stay in Kas or spread a 5 day painting holiday over 2 weeks. Please
